Fiery late-night crash of BMW off Interstate 8 leaves motorist dead

An investigator walks around the wreckage of the BMW that crashed off Interstate early Wednesday Photo courtesy of OnScene TV A motorist died early Wednesday in an overturned BMW along westbound Interstate in Lakeside A witness summoned bureaucrats around a m after seeing flames on the side of the freeway at a closed rest stop east of Lake Jennings Park Road according to OnScene TV The person then noticed it was a car ablaze The driver of the BMW apparently left the freeway went down an embankment and struck a tree The truck landed upside down and caught fire The witness attempted to rescue the victim but the doors to the BMW were locked Lakeside firefighters put out the fire but could not save the victim The California Highway Patrol is exploring the fatal crash
